We're well into January, and I wanted to make sure I wished you all a Happy YOU year! NO, it's not a typo, I did mean to put YOU in the place of the traditional 'New'. Every year about a month or so before the new year begins, we begin to see the messages, challenges, suggestions, and even how-to's on what we should/could do to reinvent or enhance ourselves. Oh, and they're so tempting?! They look and sound so good, and the ads make it look so easy and perfect and right?! I've fallen for them, too, you're not the only one. It's a message that will always repeat itself in the world we live in. But, we have to be careful. We need to look at and follow the stem of the message of re-invention and see where exactly it's roots are buried. I believe if we looked deep enough, we'll see that it's one of the flashy lies rooted in satan's plan to get us to think that we weren't perfectly created by God himself. That when God created us, He must've missed something, or forgotten something. The devil would have us to think that God didn't have a plan or purpose when He created each of us. Proverbs 16:4 says 'The Lord has made everything for its own purpose...'. The devil would have us to think that it's up to us to find a purpose, and then mold ourselves into a new person in order to fulfill our self-imposed purpose.
Well, let 2017 be the year that we look those bold faced lies right in the eye and say 'No'! Refuse to believe the lies satan has so easily fed us for so long, and seek the truth in God of who you really are! Exodus 9:16 "I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." You have a pre-determined purpose and passion that was placed inside of you before God breathed your first breath into your lungs. You were created perfectly by the only Perfect One! 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." He knew exactly what He wanted you to look like, what type of personality you'd need, and all of the uniqueness about you that would be necessary for you to fulfill the destiny He has set before you. When choosing the purpose He had in mind for you, God designed a blueprint of your life, with the end in mind! Let's go back to the original blueprint, the original model God designed and built. When we go back to ground zero, stripping off all of the additions we've been tricked and convinced we needed to be better, we'll discover the masterpiece God originally created! And asking Him, He will reveal the purpose He placed inside of us. When we live according to HIS purpose, that's when we'll fulfill the desire to reach our destiny; fulfilling passions and living freely! We will live the life of power, passion, and purpose we long for.
One more thing! When we live the purpose God gave us, instead of the self-imposed purposes the world tells us to find, that's when we become unstoppable. God's purpose cannot be stopped, not by people, circumstances, or anything the devil can throw your way. At the end of the book of Job, we find that he's come to this powerful conclusion. Job 42:2 says " I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted." Let that be our conclusion, and life's scripture. Let's live according to God's purpose and become unstoppable! Back to the original blueprint He designed to have us reaching destinies beyond our largest imaginations, with purpose before us and passions flowing from inside of us! So, again I say 'HAPPY YOU YEAR'!!
