Hebrews 10:25 - “Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other especially now that the day of His coming back is drawing near” - NLT

F.I.T. is the theme of our first ever summer series, and I'll tell you why I'm so excited about it! I think the theme is very befitting of the spirit of the ministry of Beloved. We are in the initial stages of coming into our own, so having our first series be on Facing it Together speaks beautifully into the vision and purpose of Beloved. When Beloved came to be, it was built on the foundation of the power of our shared testimonies from Revelation 12:11a. We overcome our enemy by refusing to be silenced, distracted, manipulated, or defeated! We overcome him by sharing our testimonies. We find our voices, open our mouths, and speak life into one another. That’s what our testimonies do for others, they speak life into their circumstances and situations. They speak reminders of the God we serve, and who He is and what He has done and is capable of doing! Our testimonies are proof that we are not defeated, we are domineering! We are not tired, we are triumphant! We are not worn, we are warriors! We are not silenced and we are not soft, we are strong! Don’t be complacent, for complacency yields the same product as ignorance. Instead be discontent with seeing your sister struggle and fall over and over. Help her! Reach out your hand, extend her your grace and compassion. Open your mouths and speak life into her! Speak your testimony! It’s so powerful that it alone, along with the blood of the lamb, is all that is needed to overcome the enemy! Do not allow yourself to be deceived any longer into believing it’s not such a big deal whether or not you share your testimony. The devil is a lie! It is the biggest deal, ladies! The more we share our testimonies, the more of a community of love and support we become for one another. And before you know it, we have formed the strongest army of warrior women the world has ever seen! And we will conquer and reclaim what was stolen from us. And we will accomplish all of this on a platform built on the power of love!
I’ve said it before and I will always say this - you never know what someone else is going through. We only see what people show us. But that doesn’t give us license to just ignore the responsibility we have to one another. If you see me falling, help me out. But if you don’t see me falling, but you see me wearing the same pair of shoes that you wore and you tripped and fell in them, let me know that, too! Because I may have fallen and am still trying to figure out how to get back up, or even worse I might not think/know that I CAN get back up. I need to see you and hear you say that it IS possible! So I can get up, move on into my purpose, and help somebody else out. We can do this thing together. We MUST do this thing together. Hebrews 10:25 says we are to encourage and warn each other. We need to hold each other accountable. And not from a judgmental place, but out of love. We’re not meant to do life alone, ladies. Let’s do things differently from here on out. Let’s Face It Together!
So, here is my challenge to you. If you are reading this and you are a ‘lonely girl’, I challenge you to reach out to someone today. Just move past your fears of rejection or your struggle with depression and reach out to someone. Say hello or come up with a breakfast/lunch/dinner date idea. The main technique the enemy uses when we are lonely is isolation. Don’t succumb to it any longer. Find someone you can reach out to and take the first step. Now, if you aren’t the ‘lonely girl’, I challenge you to reach out to her. We all know someone who is going through something and could use some girl talk or a hug. Reach out to her…today! You never know when the roles will be reversed and you’ll need someone to reach out to you! And trust me on this, one day they will be reversed. Challenge extended! This summer we’re F.I.T. - Facing It Together!
